You’ll get one each day. Just enough to give your creative mojo a kick in the seat of the pants. Short, sweet and manageable.

These are tips and techniques I’ve collected during my 20 years as a pro photographer; techniques I’ve used on commercial assignments, stock shoots, and when I’m out photographing my own adventures.

Most of the photos I’ve had published over the years have been created with at least one of these methods. In fact, I would venture to say that these creative methods have driven my career and my style during the past two decades.

In each lesson, I’ll briefly show you how I use each one, and then challenge you to go out and try them yourself. In the end, it’s really just a not-so-clever excuse to make you pick it up your camera and shoot more photos, at least for the 7 days of this creative challenge, but I ask you, is that a bad thing?

Sometimes a little targeted motivation is all it takes to jump start your creativity. That’s what I plan to give you. Hopefully my insight will inspire you to keep going beyond just the 7 days and explore some new techniques that can help you rise to a new plateau in your photography.

If you’re ready for a challenge, sign up below and I’ll send you your first tip right away.

Some photographers say they compose by what “feels right.” However, I would argue that even the best photographers don’t compose soley by “feel”, they dig into their bag of creative tricks and use specific methods and ideas that have worked for them in the past.
