My latest rock and roll love song, released today, is called “You Already Knew.” A classic tale, it plays on the age-old trope of the boy who tries to hide that he likes a certain girl, only to discover that she already knew. Yea. We’ve all lived that tale in real life, right?
What started as my attempt at a smart, catchy pop song in the style of The Cars, became something a little more bluesy and funky and less new wave-y, but I think it’s still incredibly catchy with an infectious hook. I particularly love the second verse, which seems to be a trend with most of my songs, especially my love songs.
I hope you enjoy this new track. You can listen or purchase it on my Bandcamp site, or listen to the song on all the streaming services, including Apple Music, Spotify, YouTube Music and Amazon Music.
