I found your blog via Google on Thursday while searching for 200eg camera bag and your post regarding Top rated digital cameras- SLRs and Point and Shoots | Dan Bailey's Adventure Photography Blog looked very interesting to me. I was impressed by your site and offerings. I was looking at some of the articles and it really impressed me. All I can say is congratulations on creating this site and what took you so long? I look forward to returning.
That Epson P-3000 makes me drool. Then I tell myself I should just get an iPad LOL.
WOW! My Nikon D90 is one position better than the newest D7000! I feel really good
But…why exactly? I’ve seen the D7000 and is weather-sealed, 16MP, better and newest sensor…Objectively, I don’t know if I agree with this, the Nikon D7000 it’s the evolution of D90. Why is one position worse this one?
Also, I have too the Nikkor 50mm.1,8D, it’s so good. One of my best purchases, and I’m rooting for a D700 with a MB-D10 Grip, it’s my dream camera
Hector, please note that the list is not “in order,” it’s just a rundown of the top rated gear. However, you’re probably right, the D7000 should probably go above the D90, since it’s the newest evolution of the Nikon DSLR technology. Thanks for your comment.
Hector I’m going to presume that those aren’t ranked in order of what is “best”.
The Canon 5D Mk II and 7D are ‘pro-sumer’ or pro camera bodies, the T1i is an entry level consumer SLR. Same with the Rebel XS or D3100, they’d never out-perform #8 or #9
Christof- yes, you’re right, these are not ranked ‘Best to worst,’ it’s just a list of the top rated gear that’s out there for both pros and consumers. Although the 5D is an excellent camera, it might not be the best rated camera for a beginning photo enthusiast.
