GREAT post, Robin! The Muir Project is something that caught my eye (via Facebook) over a year ago, and I’ve been sort of silently following it ever since. A friend and I backpacked a 1/3 of the JMT a couple of summers ago (from Devils Postpile to Happy Isles) and it was a fantastic experience. I’m trying to figure out how to get out and finish the trail, or to start over, hiking it in its entirety.

The Muir Project is very inspiring, and suddenly they make me feel not so silly for hiking the section I did with my tripod and camera (even though some hikers looked at me funny).

Great interview, and I can’t wait for the documentary!
