24.39 Million Pixels: The Nikon D3X

By Dan

December 2, 2008

After months of speculation and widely leaked rumors appearing all over the internet, Nikon has just officially introduced its highest resolution professional digital SLR to date, the D3X. With essentially the same body size as the D3, the D3X features a 24.39 megapixel CMOS sensor, a standard ISO range of 100-1600 (with an extended range to 6400) and full resolution shooting at 5 frames per second, as well as all of the other powerful capabilities that are packed into the regular D3.

In other words, the D3X is pretty much a D3 with a whole lot more pixels. Oh, that and a new price tag, which is estimated to be $7999.95.

Read more about the D3X at Nikon’s website.
